It feels fast and furious lately. Edits of this, book covers of that, releasing news after news. That’s how it goes around a book release. I’m thrilled to share more exciting news with you today.
There’s a prequel!
Last year at the release of The Gene Rift, I had a brilliant idea to do a short story telling Great Gran’s story. I mean, here she was the matriarch of the movement, but we never get to actually see how she works or how she got involved with the rebels. There was so much I didn’t know about her.
When I told my publisher about the novelette (Between a short story and novella in length), they said, “Let’s see it. Maybe we can publish it officially.” So here it is, a year later and it’s ready! Yay!
I had good intentions of writing a story from Silas’s POV and one from Jaxon’s POV. (How fun would that one be?) But at this point, I think we’ll only see Gran’s. (Sorry.) New stories are crowding out the old ideas.
Reckless Destiny book blurb:
It’s one thing to use scientific experimentation for the good of the people; it’s another to be the experiment.
During a routine doctor’s visit, Emma Bolding finds herself at the center of The Institute’s latest step in the journey toward genetic perfection, a place that’s not only dangerous, but unethical. Maybe she should have looked the other way, but The Institute chose to cross the line and make it personal.
Fighting back was never Emma’s thing, but she soon discovers she’s not the person she once was. Perhaps she’s destined for greater things.
