On Feb 4-5 I attended the Write Circle annual retreat. If you’ve never heard me say anything about the Write Circle, that’s my writing group. We meet at our local library once a week. We’re a crazy, eclectic bunch, but we all love to write. So, while we all come from different walks of life and we all write different genres, we all love writing. We support each other and cheer each other on.

A few years ago we started doing a retreat. We just wanted some time to write without distractions. Thankfully, our devotional writer, Doris Richardson, has connections at the summer camp that’s up the road. So we all pack our bags for a weekend of writing, workshops, and great food. Each year we bring in a guest author. This year it was Steve Nazarian (www.thepennycollector.com).

I should have take more pictures, but you get the jist. It was a wonderful weekend with crazy writers. We wrote, we ate, we had fun. If you ever have a chance to do something like this, do it, if only for the sheer joy of being around other writers.

These were our gifts. *Inspiration*

A few of us being “normal” writers.

This is more like how we really are.

Jerry did a great presentation about outlining that helped me. I’m trying something new that seems to be helping. Thanks, Jerry!

Nature walks are awesome. These are my friend, Helen’s, feet.

More nature walking.

We even have an indoor campfire with songs and everything!

This is the whole group on day 2.  Not all the day 1ers would make it. 🙁
